Destiny Rescue and Samaritan’s Purse

As we consider all the problems around the world, it is clear that good news is desperately needed. We have such a merciful and loving God, who through the Gospel of Jesus, is establishing His Kingdom rule in the midst of the darkness and suffering of this world. And one day, we know that King Jesus will return to put an end to all misery and evil!

It is incredibly exciting that we can all participate in this mission, in our local communities, and to the ends of the earth. Quietly and surely, God’s Kingdom is growing all the time.

One way that we become more informed and passionate about what God is doing is through Short Term trips.

Jan Burchard is soon heading over to Thailand with Destiny Rescue (19 Sep – 4 Oct). This amazing ministry seeks to rescue children from human trafficking and exploitation. Children are especially precious in the Lord’s sight, and it is a great evil when they are abused. Please pray for Jan as she seeks to bless those who are involved in this vital ministry.

Isabella Cocksedge will be heading over to Cambodia in December with Samaritan’s Purse, who oversee Operation Christmas Child. What a tremendous opportunity to bring Christ’s love to so many children in a country with such a tragic history. Isabella would also greatly appreciate your prayers.

Ultimately, it is only the Gospel that has the power to change the hearts and lives of people in these Buddhist-dominated lands. GIA is deeply involved on the ground in both Thailand and Cambodia. And I know that all of these ministries deeply covet our prayers that the Holy Spirit would transform people’s hearts through the Gospel.
